I am so grateful some days that I have reached my older years. Especially when I am left to look at some of the fashion choices of today's society.
What happened to modesty and leaving some things to the imagination?? But as confusing as those are my friends at The Daily Dose of Reality touched on a subject today that continues to leave me scratching my head. So instead of telling you about their post just go over and check them out by clicking their name. Go on I know you want to... but please, like the above photo... don't just don't.....

I am not 20 anymore
It really is not something one would care to admit, is it? I mean in reality we would like to believe that we still can look good in anything, especially the 'trends' for the next season. But let's be realistic. How many of those trends do you actually like ? My guess is possibly one or two would you be able to feasibly work into your fall line up.
We like to look that is human nature, to ooh and ahh at the pretty and whimsical things that catch our eye. But when it comes down to it most of us stick with what we know to be long lasting practical fashion sense. We don't consider ourselves fashionistas or even fashion forward. Being that way is fine, but learn to shake things up a bit.
It is amazing what a simple pop of color can do to a typically brown or black fall outfit. While I love the look of an oversized sweater with jeans and the too cute boots, reality is those too cute boots don't like my larger sized calf muscles. Trust me I tried to lose weight and two places held their ground. My boobs and my calves. The more I walked the bigger the calves got. While I love the fact that I have nice legs and strong muscles in them. I would be a liar to say I didn't envy the girls would could get on those darling boots with the fringe top that goes to their knees. Sighs. But that is the body I am dealing with.
So while I can't always pull of the latest fashion, nor do I always want to, I can make some small changes to basics that are always in style to add pop and flair.
Add a brightly colored scarf to that outfit that has the too cute sweater you have had for 5 years and never goes out of style, use it around your neck or better yet to make a fun belt to accent the waist . If you are big busted like I am layer it around you to lessen the size of your chest, because I know how self conscious I can be when I know those are standing all out in front.
Find something that flatters your style and it doesn't have to be form fitting, because trust me that does not work for every frame or person, nor does it work in most cases.
Add some jewelry pop with beautiful earrings or a big fun necklace and bracelets.
Fashion is not always what the industry says it is.
Fashion is what you choose to wear that makes you feel sexy, beautiful and most of all comfortable.

Fall Fashion for 2013 leather is always in style
While perusing through the fashion sites today I was trying to find something that caught my eye. Of course there were the usual outlandish outfits that you shake you head at and think,'Really? Who would wear that?' I am all about comfort, especially in the fall. The one thing I did love were the pant styles that were so varied. From denim to latex, rubber to cotton they were all about saying something. The range of colors and material tells me that more and more fashion designers are thinking from the point of the every day person. We can't all be rail thin, we are not all narrow hipped and long-legged. Oh how I wish..
But even with the styles that came out, there was something that could be fun and funky for everyone of any style.

The only way those could be made better and more fun is to be custom fit for your body and style. Because really no one wants the front sag anymore than we want to see the back sag. Trust me it isn't pretty, or appealing. Finding someone who will cater to your frame in perfection can make or break any pair of pants you put on your frame.
The best part of this trend in jeans is it isn't hard to make it your own. Either through a fun and flirty top or sleek and sexy shoes. Tying it all together to make it uniquely you is the best part of dressing up.

Let's talk fall!!
Ahh fall, the best time of year as far as I am concerned. Time for football and fire pits in backyards shared with good friends and making tons of memories and pictures. Kicking leaves that have fallen from the trees their golden red hues making us our own red carpet if you will.
It is also the time that we put away the short sleeves and shorts of summer and trade up for the cuddly softness of sweaters and jeans for the Friday night home town football game. Tailgate parties with food that is enough to make you beg for mercy as you grab that last appetizer and pop it in your mouth. When warm days turn to nights that leave your breath hanging in a fog as you laugh and talk with friends.
I am all about the comfort of fall clothing. The warmth that reminds you of home and love with the functionality to go from home to night out without much pomp and circumstance. Toss a cute belt around an over-sized sweater, some comfortable boots under those jeans and you are ready for a night out with friends.
But the one thing that really gets me excited about fall is an amazing leather jacket, one that is just right for the crisp air and chilled nights. Something dressy but also goes great with jeans. Everyone has that one leather jacket they love to pull out when the temperature drops....like this beauty.Handcrafted lambskin leather to wrap yourself in when those thermometers just start to say BRRRR:
